Prepping for valheim 1.0

Problem Description

Issue

I want to be ready for valheim 1.0 update on Sept 9. Is there anything I need to do on my end or will the game and server update on its own?

  • Backup created
  • Will stop server.
  • Messaging you guys

You can click the update button inside your instance. It will download the specified version of the game in your configs. I don’t play Valheim, but to check you should be able to go to Configuration > Updates

Edit: Looks like it’s at Configuration > Updates > Steam Downloads > Server Branch.
The only useful option looks to be Public which is the default, so once they release the dedicated server files for 1.0, you should be good to update.
