Problem Description

Issue

Whenever attempting to install Tarkov Fika 4.0, I get to the 7-Zip installation portion and it fails with the following error: “/bin/bash failed with exit code 8”. Looking at the console during installation, the only messages I see are ASP.NET runtime being successfully installed (or already installed).

I looked at previous issues with Fika that other users have opened tickets with and did not believe this was close to other user’s issues.

Reproduction Steps

  • Start installation via instance manager
  • .NET installation was successful
  • Failed on “Update step 4” (7 Zip Installation)

ETA: Legacy installation was successful, it just seems to be an issue with version 4.

Make sure you have bzip2 installed on your system

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and confirmed the presence of bzip2. The installation seems to still fail there.

Try installing xz-utils then

OK, figured out that the download source for 7-zip was moved to GH. Template now updated
