Problem Description

Issue

Some items were added as workshop dependency.
While update there is popup with form for steam login. After entering correct login/password this popup appears again
I’ve created new steam account for servers with no application for 2FA but it doesn’t help

I was able to download items through ssh directly using steamCMD but autodownload for clients is not working because i’ve manually put files in correct place. What is wrong with steam login?

Reproduction Steps

  • install quake live instance
  • add workshop items
  • try to update
  • enter your login details for steam

The template is not set up to support steam workshop items

Is it hard to do? Maybe I can do it by myself somehow? Is there working example with other templates?

Depends how the server handles mods. Do you have any info on that?

Workshop is used not only for mods but to download maps to play (they are packed in .pk3 files)
They are stored in steamapps/workshop/content/#appid folder

Right, I know where SteamCMD puts them, but how does the server load mods? What’s the format and location it expects?
