Unable to start ADS - many generated .sh scripts in /instances/ADS01

OS Name/Version: Centos Stream 10

Product Name/Version: ADS01/AMPVersion = 2.7.2.4

Problem Description:

After my server experienced a power cycle, ADS will no longer start up.

Attempting ampinstmgr start ADS01 creates a huge number of files in /instances/ADS01 that look like the following:

chmod-20260513-093054.sh

chmod-20260513-093735.sh  
chmod-20260513-093800.sh  
chmod-20260513-093825.sh  
chmod-20260513-093850.sh

Enabling debug logging produces the following entries:

Actions taken to resolve so far:

  • getamp upgrade
  • rebooting the server
  • deleting the hundreds of generated .sh files
  • ampinstmgr stop ADS01 ampinstmgr start ADS01

Had no success yet. Anyone have guidance for resolving this?

You’ve turned on the option to generate scripts at some point in AMPConfig.conf - simply turn it off.

Aha! I remember doing that sometime ago while debugging one of the container startups. Clearly forgot to turn it off again.

I switched startup scripts to False, removed all .sh files and ran ampinstmgr start ADS01 again - it has now started successfully.
