Problem Description

Issue

this all started with me and my friends being in the server (hosted with hostinger) and it would crash. this was normal and to be expected at first and then a couple days ago the server would crash every around 30-45mins max, and now we’re at the point where the server wont start and there are no clues in the logs and constantly gives me this pop-up when it fails. “Unable to start server.
The Minecraft server repeatedly failed to start, this is not a fault with AMP - you should check your Minecraft servers log files to find out why it is unable to start.”
please help i dont really know what im doing so a detailed guide maybe would be helpful?

Reproduction Steps

  • attempt to start server
  • fails and says “Unable to start server. The Minecraft server repeatedly failed to start, this is not a fault with AMP - you should check your Minecraft servers log files to find out why it is unable to start.”
  • check logs no fatal errors only warnings and errors
  • confused nothing works

Most likely it is the server doesn’t have enough memory based on how you are describing what is happening. Make sure you have enough memory from Hostinger and then under the configuration (I think under Update?) make sure you are increasing the amount of memory allocated to Java.

i was able to figure it out and you were kinda right, and might still be right i just was giving java all of the memory for the heap so i lowered the heap size and it fixed the issue. i might still need to upgrade the amount of memory though.
