OS Name/Version: debian-12-standard_12.2-1_amd64
Product Name/Version: AMP Release “Decadeus” v2.4.7, built 09/01/2024 03:40
Problem Description:
I’m trying to install mods on my Project Zomboid instance, which should be placed under “__VDS__Zomboidz01/project-zomboid/380870/Zomboid/Server/servertest.ini” by changing the file and adding changes under “Mods=” and the “WorkshopItems=” section with the IDs from the mods you get from the steam community page.
Unless there is another way of doing so this doesn’t work because the servertest.ini file even though it can be saved it gets reverted whenever I start the server instance.
Steps to reproduce:
- Start a Project Zomboid instance and get it up to date
- Make sure the instance is offline
- Edit the file “__VDS__Zomboidz01/project-zomboid/380870/Zomboid/Server/servertest.ini”
make some changes, add a few comments on the file for example. - Make sure you save the file and that the changes have been made.
- Start the Project Zomboid instance
- Go into “__VDS__Zomboidz01/project-zomboid/380870/Zomboid/Server/servertest.ini” again and notice your changes were reverted.
Actions taken to resolve so far:
What am I supposed to do? I think there is nothing on my side I can do? I noticed some folders have the “CanEdit” set to false but the file in question is indeed editable so I don’t understand why my changes are not kept.
Expected:
To be able to save the file and keep the changes so that my mods in Project Zomboid can activate properly.
