File manager and backups break when changing Storage.StorePath in LocalFileBackupPlugin.kvp

OS Name/Version: Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS

Problem Description:
When i change the Storage.StorePath in LocalFileBackupPlugin.kvp, the file manager just shows nothing and no backups are listed. When I try to create a backup, it just gives me " Unable to start backup". I followed this postin changing the directory. I think i did everything correctly. I did shut down the instance beforehand, and edited the file in AMP. Is it a problem that im trying to put the destination on a different drive than AMP is on? Every time i try to change the directory i need to create a whole new instance to fix this issue.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1: Try to change backup directory.
  • Step 2: Instances file manager and backups break.

Actions taken to resolve so far: Experiment with different directory formats. I don’t know what else to do.

Is the new directory owned by the amp user? If not it won’t have permission to write there and things will break.
