I have issues with setting the custom Backup location.
After following the guide from IceOfWraith I always get the access is denied issue.
My Amp Server is just a few days old, so up to date. It runs on a minimal Debian VM OS virtualized on my Unraid server. The Instances themselves are dockered.
The new Backup location is a share hosted on the Unraid Host and mounted with the following fstab command:
The directory is owned by Amp with the sufficient permissions. Also, I’m able to create files and folder manually in the CLI just fine, which proves that permissions are set correctly. I don’t get what’s wrong. Does someone have an Idea?
It’s the 9P protocol.
In modern
virtualization environments such as
QEMU/KVM, 9P is often used in combination with the Virtio protocol. This makes it possible to share directories or file systems between the host and virtual machines (VMs). This allows VMs to access host file systems efficiently and with low overhead.
Hello. I am also not having any luck changing the location using the link below from @IceOfWraith. Standard Ubuntu build. I am trying to use a separate drive mounted to /mnt/data_disk. Have the steps been tested since the latest Amp release?
I am not sure if it is the same issue. Where did you find that error message?
When I tried to customize the backup location and went back into the Amp admin console, all of the backup options were gone. I had to revert the settings to get them to reappear. And, when I did that, the scheduled and historical backups were not showing in the console. I was able to see the backups in the folder via file listing.
