Connectivity Problem with Dune Awakening - Dune Awakening Update causes clients not to connect

Problem Description

Issue

Clients end up with a “Network Error - Connection request timed out. P34”

Reproduction Steps

  • Stopped server, waited for confirmation server was shut down.
  • Shutdown Dune Awakening Instance
  • Started Dune Awakening Instance
  • Entered Instance and started Server and waited 10 minutes till server was fully up.
  • Attempted connection to the server in Dune Awakening, Server present and up, No Ping showing, Connected to Server, server conection said ready then “In Queue” then “Taking longer than expected” then it said “Network Error Connection timed out. P34”
  • Restarting results in the same issue.

A new version of the Dune instance template is available. Update your instance via ADS and then update the Dune server inside the instance (necessary to get the new scripts)

Thank you, Now its loading and showing up in the server browser in game, but the Sietch is not showing up.

That just means you need to wait a little longer. It’ll show up after a while.
