Problem Description

Issue

Hello! i just wanted to get some insight on how to add my NAS (DXP4800 plus) to my instance as specifically a backup target.? i have two nvmes for main server tower but want to use NAS for backups :slight_smile: i have turned on SMB and mounted it in datastore but dont know what else to configure.

Reproduction Steps

  • I mounted the storage in main server tower (debian)
  • i configured firewall and ip
  • i turned on SMB and then added to datastore to see if it would work

You need to use a NFS share or a iSCSI target. CIFS/SMB can’t be used.

Ah ok! Do i still add it as a datastore or is there a specific area that im missing?
